And in this story, it all started off with a boy getting a bruise. and it goes through child services wrongly removing to bullying to finally survival. And this is beautifully done. A beautiful telling of a disgusting secret, a hideous truth about our world. It made me cry, made me angry, made me see we (here) are all still surviving, and maybe one day, might be survivors.

Yes, I thought it was beautifully done, too, and I also had quite a strong emotional reaction to it. But I think we’re all survivors already, just for having come so far and for having overcome all the obstacles that we have, even when we’re still surviving at the same time, too.
